Terms of Use

Milduna app — Android, iOS and web.
Version 2.0 — Last updated: August 24, 2026

The essentials: Milduna is free. There is no purchase, no subscription and no paid content — everything in the App can be reached without ever paying. The App is funded by advertising, which you can accept or decline for personalisation without losing access to anything. You can use it as a guest, with no account at all.

1. Who we are, and what these Terms cover

These Terms of Use (the Terms) govern access to and use of the Milduna application and website (the App), published by Amaury PASCHER under the trade name Milduna (the Publisher, we). The full publisher identity is set out in the Legal Notice.

By installing, opening or using the App, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the App. Handling of your personal data is described separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

These Terms are offered in English. Where a translation is provided and its meaning differs, the version in the language in which the App was offered to you in your country prevails.

2. The service

Milduna is a vocabulary learning app (Korean, Japanese, English, French, Spanish) built on flashcards, spaced repetition, quizzes, contextual sentences and reading exercises. It can be used:

Milduna is a learning tool, not a certified teaching service. We make no promise about any particular result, score or level reached.

3. Your account

You must give accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for what happens through your account. An account is personal: you may not sell it, lend it or share it.

You may delete your account and all attached data at any time, from Settings → Delete my account in the App or from the online deletion page. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

4. Free access: keys, rewarded ads and invitation codes

Part of the content unlocks for free. The App uses keys, an in-app counter that refills on its own and can also be earned by keeping a streak, by watching an optional advertisement through to the end, or when someone enters your invitation code.

Keys, rewarded unlocks and invitation rewards have no monetary value. They cannot be bought, sold, exchanged, transferred or refunded, and they give rise to no claim of any kind. We may change how they are earned or spent, or discontinue them, as described in section 9.

Fraudulent use of invitation codes — self-referral, automated accounts, mass creation of accounts — may lead to the removal of the rewards obtained and to the measures set out in section 11.

5. A free app, funded by advertising

Milduna is free. It offers no purchase, no subscription and no paid content: everything the App contains can be reached without ever paying, at the pace set by the keys described in section 4.

The App is funded by advertising provided by Google AdMob. What that advertising collects, and how you accept or decline personalised ads, is set out in our Privacy Policy and on the Advertising & Consent page. Declining personalised advertising costs you nothing: the whole App remains available.

Should paid offers be introduced later, these Terms will be updated first and the change announced in the App, as described in section 14. No amount can ever be charged to you without your express prior consent, given through your Apple or Google account.

6. Additional terms for the App Store version

The following applies where you obtained the App from Apple's App Store. In case of conflict with the rest of these Terms, this section prevails for that version.

7. Content and intellectual property

Everything in the App — texts, vocabulary lists, example sentences, exercises, cultural notes, illustrations, mascot, the Milduna name and logo, interface design, sound design and source code — belongs to the Publisher or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law.

Using the App grants a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it for private learning. It transfers no ownership. Any reproduction, extraction, republication or reuse of a substantial part of the content, in particular for commercial purposes or to build a competing service, is prohibited without our prior written consent.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

9. Availability, changes and discontinuation

We make reasonable efforts to keep the App available, without guaranteeing uninterrupted access: maintenance, an incident at a provider, or your own network can interrupt it. The App evolves — features, languages, content and the internal balance of free unlocks may change without prior notice, provided that no change substantially reduces the paid access you have already bought or subscribed to.

Should the service be permanently discontinued, we will give reasonable advance notice inside the App.

10. Liability

The App is provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Publisher is not liable for indirect or unforeseeable damage arising from use of, or inability to use, the App, nor for any loss of data stored solely on your device in guest mode.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where the law does not permit it, in particular for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for our legal guarantees towards consumers.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the App at any time, and delete your account as described in section 3.

We may suspend or close an account in the event of serious or repeated breach of these Terms, in particular fraudulent use, circumvention of the advertising or unlocking mechanisms, or abuse of the reward system. Where circumstances allow, we give notice and let you present your position first.

12. Complaints and disputes

For any complaint, write to contact@milduna.com. We aim to answer within 14 days.

French law entitles consumers who have bought from a professional to free access to a registered consumer mediator. Milduna sells nothing, so no such contract arises; should paid offers be introduced, a mediator will be appointed and named here beforehand.

Where a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, each party keeps the right to bring it before the competent courts.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law. This choice does not deprive you of the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you habitually reside (Article 6 of the Rome I Regulation). If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you may bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence.

14. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated as the service or the law evolves. The version number and date at the top of the page always reflect the current text. Any material change affecting your rights will be notified inside the App before it takes effect; continuing to use the App afterwards amounts to acceptance. If you do not accept a change, you may stop using the App and delete your account.
